On March 19, 2026, the Church of St. Joseph, Bajpe, together with the parish clergy, solemnly and joyfully celebrated the Solemnity of St. Joseph, honoring their patron—Saint Joseph, spouse of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and foster father of Jesus.
The celebration drew inspiration from the words of Saint Pope John Paul II, who reflected deeply on the virtues of St. Joseph:
“March 19, we celebrate the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, spouse of the Virgin Mary and patron of the universal Church. The extreme discretion with which Joseph carried out the role entrusted to him by God highlights his faith even more, which consisted in always listening to the Lord, seeking to understand His will and to obey it with his whole heart and strength. This is why the Gospel describes him as a ‘righteous’ man (Mt 1:19). In fact, the just man is the person who prays, lives by faith, and seeks to do good in every concrete circumstance of life.”
Filled with gratitude, the parishioners participated in the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, offering thanks to the Lord for the countless blessings received through the intercession of St. Joseph—blessings upon their families, work, land, and the many favors granted to them.
In their homily, the main celebrants invited the faithful to reflect on the quiet yet profound witness of St. Joseph—a man whose strength lay not in spoken words but in steadfast obedience to God. His unwavering trust, humility, and readiness to fulfill God’s will serve as a timeless example for all Christians. Parishioners were encouraged to emulate St. Joseph’s virtues in their own lives, responding faithfully and wholeheartedly to God’s call.
The celebration became a moment of grace, renewal, and deepened devotion for the parish community, further strengthening their bond with their patron saint and inspiring them to walk in his footsteps of faith, service, and righteousness.
