St Joseph Church, Bajpe, successfully conducted a two-day Summer Camp on April 11 and 12, 2025, in the church’s main hall. The camp was organized by the parish for students from 4th to 10th standard, with the aim of fostering personal growth, spiritual development, and community bonding among young participants.

In his inaugural address, Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha encouraged the children to “fill the empty vessels to the brim” with the knowledge and experiences offered during the camp. To ensure a personalized and engaging experience, participants were divided into age-appropriate groups, with sessions tailored to their interests.
The camp began with lively icebreaking activities and action songs, setting a joyful tone. Educational and inspirational sessions were conducted by various resource persons:
- Rev Fr Antony Clany Dsouza spoke on the importance of prayer in daily life.
- Mr. Prasanna Dsouza provided guidance on entrance exams and the application process.
- Ms Krupanjali delivered a session on stress management, health, and hygiene.
Throughout both days, YCS members played a pivotal role in maintaining high energy levels by organizing games and activities that promoted teamwork, creativity, and camaraderie. Campers actively participated in team performances, indoor games, art-making sessions, outdoor water games, creating an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm.
The camp’s smooth execution was ensured by a dedicated team of volunteers led by Fr Vivian Rodrigues, along with Sr Prefilda, Frenita Tauro, and the YCS students. Participants were treated to their favorite snacks, meals, and ice cream on both days.
