Celebrating 40 Years of Priesthood – Rev. Fr Andrew Dsouza our Parish Priest

With hearts full of gratitude and joy, our parish community celebrated the 40th Priestly Ordination Anniversary of Rev. Fr Andrew D’Souza, marking four decades of devoted service to God and His people.

Ordained on 30th April 1986, Fr Andrew began his priestly journey with a deep sense of calling and commitment. Over the past forty years, he has faithfully lived out his vocation, touching countless lives through his pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and unwavering dedication to the Church. His ministry has been an example of humility, compassion, and steadfast faith.

Throughout his years of service, Fr Andrew has served in various parishes and roles, nurturing faith communities and inspiring individuals to grow closer to Christ. His sermons, rooted in the Gospel, have brought hope and encouragement, while his gentle presence has comforted many in times of need. Whether celebrating the Eucharist, guiding the youth, or reaching out to the marginalized, Fr Andrew has embodied the true spirit of a shepherd.

This special milestone is also a moment of joy shared with his fellow batchmates who were ordained alongside him and are likewise celebrating their 40th Priestly Ordination Anniversary. We fondly remember and congratulate Rev. Fr Ronald Cutinha, Rev. Fr Gilbert D’Souza, Rev. Fr Gregory D’Souza, Rev. Fr Victor George D’Souza, Rev. Fr Harold Mascarenhas, Rev. Fr William Menezes, and Rev. Fr Pius Pinto for their faithful and dedicated service to the Church over these four decades.

This celebration is not only of years but of lives generously offered in service to God and His people. It is a time to thank the Lord for the countless blessings received through their ministry and to acknowledge the profound impact they have had on the lives of many.

As a parish family, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Fr Andrew and his fellow priests, expressing our deep appreciation for their tireless dedication. We pray that the Lord continues to bless them with good health, renewed strength, and abundant grace as they continue their sacred mission.

“You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (Psalm 110:4)

May God continue to guide and strengthen you all as you shepherd His people with love and faith.
