Young Catholic Students Movement is an international movement for the youth studying in PUC that lays a strong foundation for their future. Armed with the motto ‘Building New Society,’ the YCS members prepare themselves to take on life with ‘See, Judge, Act and Evaluate’ methodology that is used in their cell meetings to find solutions to the issues pertaining to the youth.
The Bajpe Unit of YCS, instituted in 1999 celebrated its silver jubilee on November 17, 2024. Fr Roshan D’Cunha, diocesan director of YCS, was the chief guest of the programme. Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha, Parish priest and Director of parish YCS unit presided over the programme. Fr Anil Roshan Lobo , Deanery YCS Director, Rev Fr Vincent Dsouza, Rev Fr Ozmond Roshan Dsouza and Mervin Vas, YCS Animator for Deanery were the guests of honour. Stany Dsouza, Parish Pastoral Council Vice President, Gracy Sequeira, Parish Pastoral Council Secretary, Juliet Moras, YCS unit Animator and Shelton Dcunha, Silver Fiesta Convener were present on the dias.
Fr Roshan D’Cunha and Fr Anil Roshan Lobo addressed the gathering and congratulated YCS members for the silver jubilee celebrations.
President Jessica Crasta welcomed the gathering. Secretary Jane Dsouza presented the report.
As part of the celebrations, Juliet Moras was felicitated for her selfless service from past 11 years as the Animator to the YCS Bajpe unit.
The formal programme was followed by an entertaining evening by renowned artistes from the parish with their melodious songs, breathtaking dances and hilarious comedy performances.
