On May 11, 2025, the parishioners and pastoral council members of St. Joseph’s Church, Bajpe, gathered after the 7:30 AM Mass to bid a heartfelt farewell to three beloved clergy members who are being transferred to new missions in their spiritual journey.
The ceremony honored:
- Rev Fr Vivian Nishanth Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest, who served in the parish for a year and is now appointed as the Assistant Director of St. Antony Ashram, Jeppu.
- Rev. Fr Anil Lobo, Chaplain of St. John Paul II Shrine, Bajpe, who served for two years and is now transferred as the Parish Priest of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan.
- Rev. Fr Vincent D’Souza, Rector of Kripa Sadhana Minor Seminary, who will now serve as the Spiritual Director of Gladsom Home for Students, Bolar.
The farewell was a touching tribute to their dedication, pastoral care, and spiritual guidance, which deeply enriched the lives of the faithful in Bajpe. Parishioners expressed their gratitude through words of appreciation, prayers, and tokens of love.
A second farewell ceremony was held on May 18, 2025, to honor Rev. Dr Ronald Cutinha, who served as the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church for the past six years. His tenure was marked by significant improvements and development within the parish, both spiritually and infrastructurally. His leadership and vision left a lasting impact on the community, and his departure was met with heartfelt emotions and deep appreciation.
Both events reflected the unity and gratitude of the Bajpe parish community, celebrating the service and legacy of these devoted priests as they embark on new chapters in their ministry.
