Nurturing Young Souls: Sunday Catechism 2025–2026 Inaugurated with Grace

The Sunday Catechism program for the year 2025–2026 was inaugurated with solemnity and joy during the 10:15 AM Eucharistic Celebration on June 9, 2025. Anchored in the mission “Teachings of Faith, instilling Hope” the ceremony marked the beginning of a new spiritual journey for the parish’s young learners.

The Holy Mass commenced with a meaningful procession to the altar, featuring six students (three boys and three girls), a couple representing parents, two catechism teachers, the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) President and Secretary, and the celebrant priest. This procession embodied the collective commitment of the parish community to nurturing faith in its younger generation.

The inauguration was highlighted by the presentation of the Word of God — “Hope doesn’t disappoint” — setting a tone of encouragement and spiritual optimism. In a symbolic gesture of growth and renewal, the catechism teachers, parents, and PPC representatives joined the priest in watering a plant, representing the nurturing of faith in children.

As part of the ceremony, the priest presented students with a Holy Bible and a Catechism textbook, equipping them with the foundational tools of their spiritual education. Catechism teachers placed their hands on the shoulders of the students, invoking God’s blessings and affirming their role as guides in faith formation.

In a moving moment of dedication, all catechism teachers stepped forward to pledge their commitment to the spiritual growth of the students, embracing their responsibility with reverence and purpose.

The inauguration of the Sunday Catechism program was not merely an event, but a reaffirmation of the parish’s dedication to faith formation. It served as a reminder that when teachings are rooted in hope, they blossom into lifelong convictions — shaping hearts, minds, and souls for generations to come.
