The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), St. Simon Deanery, Pezar, celebrated Konkani Manyata Divas on 31st August 2025 at St. Joseph’s PU College Auditorium, Bajpe.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, President of ICYM Central Council, Mangalore Diocese. The Guest of Honour was Sr. Lilly D’Souza BS, Superior of Nazareth Convent, while Rev. Fr. Jesudas D’Costa, Director of ICYM Pezar Deanery, presided over the function.
The celebration began with ICYM Deanery President Ms. Sonali Noronha carrying the Konkani flag and leading the dignitaries into the auditorium. The flag was reverently placed in front of the stage by Rev. Fr. Jesudas D’Costa. A prayer dance by the sisters of Nazareth Convent set a graceful tone for the programme, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Sonali Noronha. The dignitaries then inaugurated the event.
