Grand Celebration Marks Annual Feast at St Joseph Church, Bajpe

The Annual Feast of St Joseph Church, Bajpe, was celebrated with great solemnity and joy on December 3, 2025. The Eucharistic Celebration commenced at 10:00 AM, preceded by the presentation of candles to the Muddhoms and donors by Pezar Deanery Vicar Forane, Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi Dsa. The festivities began with a vibrant entrance procession accompanied by a lively brass band, setting a cheerful and festive tone for the day.

Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha was the main celebrant of the Solemn Festal Mass, concelebrated by Rev Fr Andrew Dsouza (Parish Priest), Rev Fr Jesudas Dcosta (St John Paul II Shrine Chaplain), Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi Dsa, and other guest priests. The choir’s melodious voices enriched the liturgy, adding grace and reverence to the celebration.

In his homily, Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha reflected on the unwavering faith of Abraham from the Old Testament, St Joseph from the New Testament, and St Francis Xavier—whose feast coincides with the day. He beautifully explained how these great figures trusted God completely and took bold steps of faith, inspiring the faithful to embrace similar trust and courage in their spiritual lives.

Following the Eucharistic Celebration, Parish Priest Rev Fr Andrew Dsouza expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the priests who concelebrated the Mass and extended festive greetings to the parish community, wishing abundant blessings upon all parishioners.

The church premises remained lively throughout the day, with stalls organized by various parish groups and vendors offering games and entertainment. The vibrant atmosphere brought joy, fellowship, and celebration to the entire community.
