Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh registered unit of Bajpe Church celebrated Seniors’ Day on Sunday, August 04, 2024 for all elders above 70 years of age. After the Holy Eucharistic Mass at 11:30 a.m., all the seniors gathered in the church hall. The parish priest, Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha, presided over the program. The chief guests on the dais included Rev Fr Vivian Nishanth Rodrigues, Assistant Parish priest, Stany Dsouza, Vice President of the Parish Council; Mable Saldanha, Commission Coordinator; Leo Sequeira, Catholic Sabha President; Jacintha Nazareth, Secretary.
The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the lamp to mark the inauguration.
Fr Ronald addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of Catholic Sabha in bringing together all the elders under the same roof – the most cherished treasure of the parish. He encouraged the elderly to embrace an active lifestyle, interact with neighbors, focus on their health and stay happy.
All seniors were presented with mementos as a token of remembrance. Contributors to the program were felicitated with floral tributes. Frenita Tauro hosted the program, Mr. Leo Sequeira welcomed the gathering, and Jacintha Nazareth proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with a hearty meal.
