The Catechism Day for the year 2024-2025 was celebrated in a very meaningful manner on February 23, 2025. The event commenced with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration at 9.30AM, followed by the much-anticipated prize distribution and a vibrant cultural program in the church hall.
The program was presided over by Rev Dr Ronald Cutinha, our beloved Parish Priest, alongside Fr Vivian Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest, Stany Dsouza Vice-President of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), Gracy Sequeira Secretary of PPC, and Sr. Prefilda, the Sunday Catechism Coordinator.
Anita Dcosta welcomed the gathering. Sr Prefilda presented the annual report. Vinisha Sonal Dcosta, an 8th standard student shared her catechism learning experience.
Students with 100% attendance and students who secured more than 90% marks in the Catechism exam were awarded and encouraged. The catechism teachers were also honored for their selfless service on Sundays in imparting knowledge of scripture and the teachings of the Church to the little minds.
Paul Pinto and Prajwal D’Almeida were appreciated and thanked with a memento for their sponsorship towards the catechism day.
Students performed a variety of cultural programmes. Children from grade one to ten entertained the audiences with a range of value-based performances.
Parents, teachers, and children were present in large numbers for this programme. Irene Dsilva compered the programme. Juliet F Moras proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with lunch for all present.
