St Joseph’s Church, Bajpe is preparing for its much‑awaited parish feast with great devotion and community spirit. As part of the spiritual preparations, the parish observed Confraternity Sunday on November 30, bringing together the entire parish community in a solemn procession of the Holy Eucharist, carried with reverence and honour in public.
The main celebrant of the Holy Mass was Fr. Antony Clany Dsouza, Rector of Gladsom Home Minor Seminary, Mangalore. He was joined in concelebration by:
Fr Andrew Dsouza, Parish Priest of St Joseph’s Church, Bajpe
Fr Jesudas Dcosta, Chaplain of St John Paul II Shrine
Fr Kevin Dsouza, Rector of Kripa Sadana Minor Seminary
Fr Francis Dsouza, Spiritual Director of Kripa Sadana Minor Seminary
Following the Mass, the Holy Eucharist was exposed for adoration, accompanied by hymns led by the parish choir. The faithful then joined in a Eucharistic procession, expressing their devotion through prayer and song.
On returning to the church premises, Fr Antony Clany Dsouza delivered a thought‑provoking homily, reflecting on the hope that Jesus brings into our lives. He urged the faithful to build three “factories” in their spiritual journey:
- Ice Factory – to entrust burdens to Jesus and trust Him in all circumstances
- Sugar Factory – to appreciate, encourage and support others with kindness in words and deeds
- Love Factory – to forgive and love as Jesus did, allowing others to experience God’s love and hope
The evening concluded with the Holy Eucharistic Blessing, marking a profound moment of grace and unity.
Meanwhile, the streets of Bajpe and the church grounds were beautifully decorated with festive adornments, setting a joyful tone for the upcoming parish feast.
