“ಕುಟ್ಮಾ ಜೆವಾಣ್” by ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, ICYM Pezar Deanery & ICYM Bajpe Unit

On the joyous occasion of the Nativity of Mother Mary, the youth came together in a vibrant expression of tradition, unity, and devotion through the celebration of ಕುಟ್ಮಾ ಜೆವಾಣ್. Organized by the youth, for the youth, and from the youth, the event was a collaborative effort by the ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, ICYM Pezar Deanery, and ICYM Bajpe Unit.

The program was marked by heartfelt participation and spiritual enthusiasm, with the following dignitaries joining the youth for this celebration:

The celebration began with a prayer service led by ICYM members, followed by a warm welcome from Ms. Reenal Rodrigues, President of ICYM Bajpe Unit. Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza and Mr. Vijoy Cardoza addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Kutma Jevan in nurturing faith and fostering youth unity.

As part of the tradition, the youth offered flowers to Mother Mary, and the ritual of mixing newly harvesterd paddy grains in roce was performed with reverence. Rev. Fr. Jesudas D’Costa invoked blessings upon the meal, which was lovingly prepared by youth members from all three ICYM bodies.

The event concluded with a shared meal that symbolized community, togetherness, and the spirit of service. Kutma Jevan 2025 stood as a testament to the leadership, creativity, and devotion of the youth—celebrating faith not just in words, but through action.
