Elders’ Day Celebrated with Joy and Gratitude

Our parish community came together in a spirit of thanksgiving and fellowship to celebrate Elders’ Day on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The celebration began with the Holy Mass at 10:45 a.m., during which special prayers were offered for all the senior members of our parish, acknowledging their faith, wisdom, and invaluable contributions to the Church and society.

Following the Holy Mass, a formal function was held in the church hall. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all the elders, who were honoured for their lifelong commitment, dedication, and service to the parish community. Parish leaders expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the elders’ guidance, sacrifices, and enduring witness to Christian values.

The gathering served as a reminder of the importance of respecting, caring for, and learning from our senior members, whose lives continue to inspire younger generations.

The parish extends its sincere gratitude to the organising committee, volunteers, and all parishioners who contributed to the success of the event. May God continue to bless our beloved elders with good health, peace, happiness, and abundant grace.

“Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God.” – Leviticus 19:32
